Cavallo hoof boot Gel Pads are made from a technically advanced and specially formulated thermoplastic elastomer that is designed to provide your horse with temporary extra protection and increased comfort when making the transition from metal shoes to barefoot, while riding on very aggressive terrain or longer distances or for rehabilitation during an injury. Due to the pliable nature of gel it moves into the sole cavity stimulating blood flow and circulation. This can speed up healing and dramatically improve hoof health.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT PAD

Cavallo offers an array of horse hoof boot pads! The Comfort Pad, Gel Pad, Protection Pad and the Support Pad all have unique features that offer your horse extra comfort and cushioning while hacking/trail riding, hoof rehabilitation, turnout, jumping and more.

FITTING TIPS

You should not have to force the boot on the horse’s hoof in any way. If you are having to force the boot on it is too small. Try a thinner pad or larger boots.

If the boot is rotating independently from the horse’s hoof it is too big. A wiggle is okay because the hoof expands in weight-bearing and even further in movement.
